Stomp

Yes/No Productions and Glynis Henderson Productions

Following on from its record breaking five year run at the Vaudeville Theatre, STOMP is pleased to announce that from the end of September 2007 it will be relocating to a new home at the Ambassadors Theatre to celebrate its sixth year in the West End.

Though they initially intended to reopen STOMP in London in Spring 2008, on viewing The Ambassador’s Theatre the show’s creators Luke Cresswell and Steve McNicholas were instantly struck by the venue’s resemblance to The Orpheum Theatre in New York in terms of scale and intimacy- STOMP is still playing to packed houses in Manhattan after 15 amazing years - and felt that this piece of serendipity was too good an opportunity to miss.

“The Ambassadors has all the qualities that we and our audiences have come to appreciate at The Orpheum including an intimate atmosphere and fantastic acoustics”
Steve McNicholas – co-creator of STOMP

Since opening at the Vaudeville in September 2002, STOMP has grossed more than £13 million and is the longest running show in the theatre’s history

STOMP, the award winning sensation, has played to over 8.3 million people in 38 countries worldwide and continues to wow audiences with its unique combination of theatre, dance, comedy and percussion. In addition to the London production there are three other STOMP companies currently performing worldwide: one on tour in North America, one in New York and another in Europe which will return to the UK for a five week tour in January 2008.

STOMP OUT LOUD, a specially commissioned large scale version of STOMP is also playing to packed houses in a custom designed venue at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. The cast of STOMP OUT LOUD recently performed on the season finale of America’s Got Talent to an audience of 13 million across America.

STOMP is now booking until March 2008 at the Ambassadors Theatre – tel: 08448 112 334.
