Time Out London said
'This is one of the funniest pieces of theatre you will ever see. This beautifully crafted melodrama is packed with physical humour, silliness and exquisite performances form start to finish. If there's any justice in the world, these guys will be given their own TV series'.Cooped completed a two week run at the Harbourfront Centre, Toronto for the New World Stages Festival and a four week tour of the Netherlands including a sell-out show at Amsterdam's Kleine Komedie Theatre earlier this year.
The show stormed the Just For Laughs Festival, Montreal last year and subsequently played The South Bank Centre, London and the Espoo Theatre in Finland.
In the best tradition of British comedy from Monty Python to Fawlty Towers, Spymonkey’s Cooped overflows with brilliant characters, visual humour, slapstick comedy, naughtiness and nudity – and features some of the funniest songs and dance routines you will ever see.
Laura du Lay arrives at a remote country house to uncover a tale of murder, love and mistaken identity. Is the handsome Forbes Murdston insane? Is his mysterious manservant Klaus who he says he is?
And are Laura’s terrible dreams a warning of further tragedy?
Spymonkey has toured the world with its special brand of outrageous and highly original comedy.
