Glynis Henderson Productions Ltd produces, general manages and represents a variety of theatre, music and dance productions. The company specialises in introducing unique and exciting new work to an international audience and international work to the UK.
GHP is the original co-producer of STOMP with the show's creators Yes/No Productions and has tour booked and general managed STOMP on tour worldwide (with the exception of North America) for over 15 years and has general managed the show in the West End since 2002. STOMP was at The Vaudeville Theatre for five years and transferred to The Ambassadors Theatre in October 2007.
GHP is the international promoter for LOST AND FOUND ORCHESTRA, the new show from the creators of STOMP which premiered at Brighton Festival in 2006 and has since played the Sydney Opera House as part of the Sydney Festival in 2007, Royal Festival Hall, London over Christmas and New Year 08-09 and the Carre Theatre, Amsterdam in February 09.
The company has managed ENNIO MARCHETTO for over 18 years. Ennio ‘the living cartoon' continues to tour worldwide. Ennio played a second Christmas season at the Berkeley Repertory Theatre near San Francisco in December following a tour of the UK and sold out shows in Athens. He has just finished touring Italy and is currently performing his third season in Cape Town. New places this year are Macau and Norway and he returns to many favourite venues, cities and countries this year including Netherlands, Berlin, Stockholm, UK and Southbank Centre, London at Christmas.
GHP is the worldwide management for SPAGHETTI WESTERN ORCHESTRA.
The show premiered at The Montreal Jazz Festival 2007 and was the sell-out hit of the festival. The show then toured to L'Europeen Theatre in Paris, St Pauli Theatre in Hamburg, the Koln Philharmonie and the Athenaeum Theatre, Melbourne. The show made a triumphant return to Montreal in 2008 and played a four week season at Café De La Danse, Paris followed by a North American tour including a season at Harbourfront Centre, Toronto. The show will tour to Athens, Netherlands, London and Brighton, France, Italy and from September to November 2009 and return to North America in 2010.
GHP is also the worldwide management for American comedy actor RICH FULCHER. Rich has played Bob Fossil and other characters in three series of The Mighty Boosh for Baby Cow and BBC TV and has also toured the UK with both record breaking Mighty Boosh Live tours. In 2006 Rich starred in Snuff Box - his own sketch show series which he wrote and performed with fellow comedian Matt Berry. The series of six episodes was commissioned by BBC3 and produced by Charlie Hanson (Extras) for Channel X and directed by Michael Cumming (Brass Eye). In 2009 as well as writing a film script for Warner Brothers, Rich can be seen on MTV interviewing bands and musicians as the beautiful ‘Eleanor’ in Eleanor’s Up and Coming. He is also writing a book “TINY ACTS OF REBELLION – 97 Almost Legal Ways to Stick It to the Man” which will be released this October.
GHP is the worldwide management for SPYMONKEY. GHP co-produced ‘Spymonkey Cooped' at the Edinburgh Festival 2006. The show has been the hit of the Brighton Comedy Festival, Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal, The Melbourne Comedy Festival and has played two sell-out seasons in London. ‘Spymonkey Cooped’ has also toured to Toronto, Finland and the Netherlands. The company are creating a new show; ‘Spymonkey’s Moby Dick’ that will premiere at the Royal Theatre in Northampton in September 2009 and tour throughout the UK until November.
The company has recently become the concert booker and promoter for classical pianist JAMES RHODES. Described by Classic FM as "a classical pianist with a rock-star attitude” James is causing quite a stir. He is the first ever classical soloist to perform at the Roundhouse in Camden since the reopening and will soon perform at the 100 Club and Proud Galleries. In April 09 he has was selected to play at the nomination launch for the Classical Brit Awards. This follows his debut recital at the Queen Elizabeth Hall in February and the release of his album Razor Blades, Little Pills and Big Pianos on Signum Records, which reached number one classical download in iTunes in May 09.
GHP is the UK promoter for YAMATO - THE DRUMMERS OF JAPAN. The show toured throughout the UK in April 2008.
GHP co-produced of THE OVERCOAT (conceived and directed by Morris Panych and Wendy Gorling) with the Canadian Stage Company in Toronto and the Bushnell Center USA. The show has played in London, New Zealand, Australia, Norway, San Francisco, Bushnell Center and on tour across Canada.
